ABOUT DIAMOND CATS CAMP
Welcome to Diamond Cats Camp! Founded in 2022 by Woodside High School Head Coach Alexa Daines and Assistant Coach Christina Daines. Our camp was created with the vision of providing a fun and engaging learning environment for kids of all ages. We believe in the power of sports to foster friendships and create lasting memories. Join us as we play, learn, and grow together in a supportive community.
MEET THE COACHES
Founder
Alexa Daines
Coach Alexa was a 4 year varsity starter at Carlmont playing first base where she was a Team Captain, MVP, Player of the Year, and earned First Team All League honors 3x and Second Team All League once. She was the JV head coach at Woodside for 2 seasons and has been the varsity head coach for 8 seasons.
Founder
Christina Daines (Patton)
Coach Christina was a 3 year varsity starter at Woodside as a pitcher where she was a Team Captain, MVP, Pitcher of the Year, and earned First Team All League honors 2x and Second Team All League once. She went on to pitch at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs for 4 years where she earned RMAC All Academic Honor Roll. She has been the varsity assistant coach at Woodside for 6 seasons.

Megan Barstad
Coach Megan is a 2021 Woodside graduate and was a 4 year varsity starter as a catcher where she earned Second Team All League honors. She went on to catch at CSM for 2 years where she earned First Team All Coast Conference, First Team All State, Academic All State, and was inducted into the CSM Hall of Fame. She has been coaching with DCC since 2022 and is in her first season as an assistant coach at Woodside.

Niss Avendano
Coach Niss is a 2020 Woodside graduate and was a 3 year varsity starter at first base. She went on to play at Cosumnes River College for 3 years. She has been coaching with DCC since 2022.

Kelly Baek
Coach Kelly is a 2024 Woodside graduate and a 4 year varsity starter at first base. She earned MVP and Wildcat awards as well as First Team All League honors. She has been coaching with DCC since 2024.

Lacey Barstad
Coach Lacey is a 2025 Woodside graduate and a 3 year varsity starter as a catcher, but has also played third base, second base, and outfield. She has been coaching with DCC since 2024.

Brooke Faure
Coach Brooke is a 2023 Woodside graduate and a 3 year varsity starter as a pitcher, second baseman, and outfielder. She earned MVP and Honorable Mention All League honors. She has been coaching with DCC since 2022.

Coach Lilli is a 2023 Woodside graduate and a 4 year varsity starter at shortstop, second base, third base, and pitcher. She earned Silver Bat and Second Team All League honors. She has been coaching with DCC since 2022.

Paige Patton
Coach Paige is a 2021 Woodside graduate. She played softball at a young age and then moved over to volleyball in high school. She has been coaching with DCC since 2022.

Coach Sophia is a 2023 Woodside graduate and a 3 year varsity starter as an outfielder. She has been coaching with DCC since 2023.

Coach Noelle is a 2024 Woodside graduate and a 3 year varsity starter at second base where she earned Heart & Hustle and Coach's awards. She has been coaching with DCC since 2024.

Coach Savannah is a 2024 Woodside graduate and a 3 year varsity starter in center field where she earned the Heart & Hustle award. She has been coaching with DCC since 2024.

Gianna Voltattorni
Coach Gianna is a 2019 Woodside graduate and a 4 year varsity starter in both the outfield and infield. She earned MVP as well as Second Team and Honorable Mention All League honors. She went on to play at CSM for 2 years. She has been coaching with DCC since 2022.
